My Story
I have been a leader in public health for nearly two decades, developing interventions to support behavior change for personal and community wellness. I began my second career with a master’s degree in Community Health after reading Paul Farmer's "Mountains Beyond Mountains " in Bolivia, and my work has focused on creating holistic approaches to improve community wellness. Outside of my professional life, I cherish my roles as a mother, hiking mountain trails with my anxious cattle dog, teaching yoga, travel advising, and beekeeping.
Over the past four years, I have gone through numerous life transitions. Health transitions, burnout, a divorce, and career uncertainty. During these times, I found myself feeling overwhelmed, unfulfilled, and crippled by fear when things fell apart. Through mindfulness and spiritual practices, I began to experience these transitions as times of transformation. These transitions were the catalyst for starting Journey Coaching to build a life that honors the season of life I am in and connects to my purpose.
In 2025, I received a coaching certificate through the Interglow Coaching School, and I am currently pursuing my Associate Certified Coach Credential through the International Coaching Federation. I have also obtained a 200-hour yoga certification, as well as a trauma-sensitive yoga certification, and bring experience working in trauma-responsive care into all my offerings.
